|Among true Nordic sport fans Niederthai is a class of its own. The mountain village has been awarded the Tirolean Nordic Ski Track Quality Seal. Beginners can choose from no less than 3 Nordic trail kilometers on varied routes. There is a tailor-made track for all skill levels and preferences, be it classic-style or skating. A nature exploration of a very special kind is the Nordic ski track leading into scenic Horlachtal side valley on a length of 3.3 kilometers, a quite sporty challenge offering also picture-book rest stop points. The three kilometer long Sonnenplateauloipe route makes a perfect warm-up track. What cross-country skiers appreciate most in Niederthai: the money stays in their pocket as the full variety of well-groomed routes is free of charge.|
Nordic Skiing at its Finest
High-altitude location, absolute snow reliability and varied cross-country skiing tracks that are even free of charge. Not without reason the sunny Alpine plateau of Niederthai is referred to as "Ötztal's Nordic Skiing Center". And on top of all that: hobby athletes can try their luck at the Taster Biathlon. And those who are still not tired enough, enjoy night-time Nordic skiing from Monday till Sunday on the floodlit "Frühloipe" and "Tellerboden Night Trail" from 5.00 pm - 9.30 pm.
