Hydropower is a tradition in the Tyrol as well as a future. The new small power plant Niederthai was put into operation in August 2018 and generates with 680 liters of water per second from the "Horlachbach" and a Pelton turbine with 6 nozzles about 1,500,000 kWh of electricity per year. A look behind the scenes with the power plant operator takes you into the exciting world of hydropower.
