Explanation
Start at the Kreuzkapelle chapel in Sautens, after approx. 100 m along the road the red path branches off to the right into the forest. Beautiful hiking trail to the Tschirgantblick viewpoint. Especially recommended in spring and fall.
Over 3000 years ago, mighty parts of the Tschirgant fell into the valley and buried the exit of the Ötztal. Today, the area is a small, unspoiled natural oasis in the otherwise intensively populated Tyrolean Inn Valley. The largely wooded area offers quiet places to linger, rich biodiversity and is shrouded in legends and myths. Circular hiking trails lead through this mystical landscape through the Sautner Forchet past exciting cultural sites (lime kiln, living cave, ...) and several educational boards about the animal kingdom and geology.

Turn-by-turn directions
Start at the Kreuzkapelle chapel in Sautens, after approx. 100 m along the road the red path branches off to the right into the forest. The forest path leads you through the Forchet. The caches are not very easy to find here, as you should look carefully at the pictures. The first one is hidden by a tree. The narrow forest path widens and then narrows again. The trail markings show you which route to follow, as the paths cross here several times.
Shortly before you reach the Tschirgantblick, you will find a well-known shrub that hides cache 2. Here you can already see part of the view towards Roppen. Enjoy the view at Tschirgantblick. From here it's back the way you came, but it's deceptive that it won't take much longer, you still have a little way to go.
On your way back, you can also enjoy some of the view again. You walk through the forest and then there are good places again where you can enjoy the view. You will soon reach a small wooden staircase, don't forget to look for the cache here and hide it well again.
After cache three, make sure you don't get lost. Many paths branch off here and you also want to find cache 4. This is located at a natural crossroads. Once you have found it, continue through the forest until you come out again at the chapel.
