3-in-1! The Long Trail Schölder is a super versatile ride from the Gaislachkogl mid-station over to the outskirts of the BIKE REPUBLIC on the Giggijoch side.

From the mid-station you roll over to the entry of Bartigs Bödele Trail, a (too) short, idyllic and easy ride over to the glacier road. After an uphill section you make it to the Rettenbach Trail, which flows high up over the BIKE REPUBLIC with a jaw-dropping view, all the way to Hochsölden. The final Leiterberg Trail is the most technical trail of the three. It holds roots and rocks and has its slippery sections.

Please yield to hikers!

Author’s recommendation

This is a lot of riding, so make sure to refuel at the Sonnblick Restaurant or the Leiterbergalm!

Safety information

You have to be fit (technically as well as physically) for the Long Trail Schölder. Stay focused for the toughest trail at the end.

The BIKE REPUBLIC SÖLDEN is all about coming together and having the best time on your mountain bike – no matter what your skill level is. So always take care of each other, show respect and support – also towards nature and all other people out there in the mountains and the valley.

> Please only ride existing, signposted trails and never trespass open meadows.

-> Avoid skidding, don’t cut switchbacks & leave no trace.

-> Stay alert, never scare animals and always close the pasture gates. In the REPUBLIC there’s always a chance of cattle on the trails and lines. Ride carefully and give them enough room.

-> Please note that the natural trails in the BIKE REPUBLIC are all shared trails. Always yield to hikers and give a friendly greeting.
